			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It’s been a while since we announced the PC and Mac version of Rimelands: Hammer of Thor, and although we’ve been quiet about it since, things have been moving forward. The reason progress has been slower than we’ve hoped is that we’ve been working on a subcontracting project to keep the company funded. Unfortunately that has meant we haven’t had much time to work on Rimelands.</p>
<p>To fund the rest of the project we’ve decided to try something new for us: crowd-funding. We want the PC version to shine, so there’s a still a lot of work to be done on it. We’ll be launching the funding soon, but before that<strong> we need your help</strong>.</p>
<p>It’s customary to offers a variety of perks to people who fund the project. We already have some planned and naturally all who fund us will get the final game for free, as well as a possibility to participate in the beta testing of the game. But we’d also like to know what kind of perks you would like to see. You can send your ideas in the comments of this post, in the <a title="Crowdfunding thread" href="http://rimelands.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&amp;t=50">forums</a>, or in <a title="Twitter" href="https://twitter.com/#!/arzi42">Twitter</a> or <a title="Facebook" href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dicework-Games/32370484986">Facebook</a>. Please bear in mind that we have limited resources, so we can’t produce great amounts of physical goods.</p>
<p><strong>We will also unveil a new feature for the game when the crowd-funding starts, so stay tuned!</strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We&#8217;re back from the Eurogamer Expo (and recovered from the flu), so it&#8217;s time to look back a bit. The Expo and the Indie Arcade were a great time and extremely useful for us, there&#8217;s nothing better than to see people playing the game and get feedback from the actual gamers. Overall, the feedback was very positive and the game well received. Here are something people liked a lot:</p>
<ul>
<li>The dice make the game easy to understand and give a concrete meaning to the mechanics.</li>
<li>Fast paced, snappy. The game flows ahead with a good momentum and there isn&#8217;t any unnecessary waiting.</li>
<li>Smooth transitions. The transitions between combat and non-combat are smooth and don&#8217;t interrupt the gameplay.</li>
<li>Art and graphics. The new intro received a lot of praise, also the enchanced PC graphics were applauded.</li>
<li>Empowered female protagonist. The female lead is a refreshing change.</li>
</ul>
<p>Of course, the game still has a number or issues we have to tackle. While there were some we were aware of before the Expo, we discovered a bunch of new ones too. These will naturally be dealt with in the near future.</p>
<ul>
<li>People don&#8217;t seem to notice the Re-roll buttons.</li>
<li>Tutorial messages are not visible enough.</li>
<li>Acquire button in the talent selection was hard to notice. We&#8217;ll add a new way of acquiring the talent by just clicking the icon.</li>
<li>Point and click movement was requested a lot. We&#8217;re currently working on this, but it&#8217;s not as straightforward to implement as it sounds.</li>
<li>Description of the Aim talent wasn&#8217;t clear enough.</li>
<li>Inventory screen needs to be clarified. A couple of new ways to equip items will be added.</li>
<li>The floaters for new items acquired are too easy to miss. We&#8217;ll have to emphasize them more.</li>
<li>Some kind of warning when the player character is low on hit points has to be added.</li>
</ul>
<p>After these issues are fixed, we&#8217;ll be publishing a demo for the game for everyone to try out. Stay tuned!</p>

<p>By Odin, It has been a year since Rimelands: Hammer of Thor was released on the iPhone!</p>
<p>Our utmost gratitude for the warm welcome &#8211; even though the content was sometimes a tad hoary, your enthusiasm was able to melt the permafrost encasing the secrets of the vaults and give birth to a successful first RPG we have released! Without you, this feat could not have been possible, so our thanks first and foremost to each and every one of you!</p>
<p>On this first anniversary of Rose, our heroine, we are proud to announce the upcoming release of Rimelands also to PC and Mac!</p>
<p>Please welcome the new, enhanced and largely remade Rimelands: Hammer of Thor for PC and Mac. Here’s how it differs from the iOS original:</p>
<ul>
<li>Completely redesigned GUI and controls suitable for a desktop game</li>
<li>Rewritten story, including new cutscenes, completely new dialogue and, well, better writing in all.</li>
<li>New visual effects that take advantage of PC hardware</li>
<li> Updated and new levels</li>
<li>Better balancing, options for players seeking more challenge out of the game</li>
</ul>
<p>A demo of the PC version will be playable at the<a href="http://www.eurogamer.net/expo/"> Eurogamer Expo</a> Indie Arcade on on 22nd to 25th of September. We’re looking to meeting you there!</p>
